V-ray Wood Material Tutorial

Hi again. This days on CG Links you can find some basic material for Vray. This one is for wood. If you want very realistic render you need to use V-ray Render plugin. On picture below I was use Vray wood material for 3D Studio Max

Open Material Editor by pressing M on your keyboard.
Click on Get Material button, and chouse Vray material from Materail/Map Browser.

Rename material to “Wood”
For this material you need to use wood texture, which you can download below
In Diffuse color, add wood texture which you download above.

For the Reflect color use this settings:
Red: 60
Green: 60
Blue: 60
Reflect glossiness set to 0.6

In the Refraction menu change Refract color to black. See picture below.

That is all. Like I said this material is for V-ray. Just to know, results of this material while you render also depend from your Render and Lighting settings.
